  भारत द्वारा IBSA कोष में 10 लाख डॉलर का योगदान भारत द्वारा IBSA कोष में 10 लाख डॉलर का योगदान भारत ने गरीबी एवं भुखमरी उन्मूलन कोष (Poverty and Hunger Alleviation Fund) में 10 लाख अमेरिकी डॉलर का योगदान दिया है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत की स्थायी प्रतिनिधि रुचिरा कम्बोज ने 20 फरवरी, 2024 को दक्षिण-दक्षिण सहयोग के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र के कार्यालय के निदेशक दिमा अल खातिब को इस राशि का चेक सौंपा। इस निधि का उद्देश्य  ऐसी अनुकरणीय और लक्ष्य आधारित परियोजनाओं की पहचान करना है ,  जिन्हें विकासशील देशों में मांग के आधार पर संचालित किया जा सके । भारत, ब्राजील एवं दक्षिण अफ्रीका (IBSA) ने 2004 में इस कोष का गठन किया था। इस कोष का संचालन 2006 में शुरू हुआ। बता दें कि आईबीएसए में शामिल 3 देश भारत, ब्राजील और दक्षिण अफ्रीका प्रति वर्ष कोष में 10 लाख डॉलर का योगदान देते हैं। स्थापना के बाद से आईबीएसए कोष में भारत का कुल योगदान 1 करोड़ 80 लाख डॉलर से अधिक हो गया है। संयुक्त राष्ट्र दक्षिण-दक्षिण सहयोग कार्यालय (UNOSSC) इस कोष के प्रबंधक एवं सचिवालय के रूप में कार्य करता है। http...

  Current News   Indian Economy   Banking & Finance EPFO Raises EPF Interest Rate to 8.25% The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has increased the interest rate on employees' provident fund (EPF) deposits to 8.25% for the fiscal year 2023-24, marking a three-year high, following a decision made during a meeting of its apex decision-making body, the Central Board of Trustees (CBT), on 10 th  February, 2024. Key Points Historical Context:  The hike follows a marginal increase in the interest rate in March 2023 to 8.15% for the fiscal year 2022-23, compared to 8.10% in 2021-22. However, in March 2022, the interest rate was reduced to 8.1%, the lowest in over four decades, down from 8.5% in 2020-21. Approval Process:  The decision to set the interest rate at 8.25% for 2023-24 was made by the EPFO's apex decision-making body, the CBT.
